I ended up in the hospital yesterday

I am totally high on pain meds so I probably shouldn't be blogging, but I'm bored to tears sitting at home! Yesterday, my appendix ruptured! I tried to drive myself to the ER but the road got all wobbly so I called my folks, and my mom picked me up.

I got to the hospital at 8 AM. At 7 PM, nearly 12 hours later, they operated. And I was released at 2 AM to head home (early this morning). My mom was in no shape to sit in the ER—she's had the flu—so I went into the hospital alone.

I got checked in, waited an hour, but then had to wait three hours for the results of their scans, then another 7 hours before going into operation. It was an exercise in endurance.

I'm so grateful for the care I received. Everyone was so kind. I want to thank my nurses Kelsea, Jessica, Olivia, Emily, Brandy, my nurse's assistant Jon, and my doctors—Drs. Bollig and Flynn—for taking such good care of me yesterday.

And to everyone who sent their thoughts and prayers on Instagram and by text, everyone who called, I love you all. I actually feel great right now! The drugs are definitely helping. Little sore. Will bounce back quickly I know.
