Making wavs

I spent the night on Helix Native kind of prepping for my HX Stomp to get here. I now have four Line 6 HX Stomps. Which is silly. But we use them at church as direct boxes, and I just leave them at the church for our guitarists to use. We’re all on Helix, which makes it easy to share set-lists and snapshots.

I think I’m going to release an HX Stomp preset pack. I’m trying to think through the ethics of including IRs that I didn’t make. For every amp preset I’ve made, I’ve sat and meticulously tone-matched the perfect IR from out of packs of thousands of IRs from Ownhammer, York, and 3Sigma.

It has taken me forever, and I think sharing one IR that I’ve found works best with my amp settings isn’t a crime. I’m not giving away their entire folder of all of their mixes, just the one I feel suits each amp.

But I can see where someone might call that theft. I’m not out here tryna steal nothin’.

Lemme know what you think.
