Tide rushes in, tide rolls out

Push, pull, push, pull, in, out, up, down, chaos cascading into order into chaos into order into chaos into order. The cycle of life, a rhythm arhythmic rhythmic arhythmic, a song in five-four time: 12345 12345. That's life.

It's a period of growth, then a period of drought. It's a period of rainfall, then a period of brushfires. It's a period of opportunity, then a period of adversity. It's change. It's seasons. Yin and yang. Dark and light. Quiet and clamoring.

There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens:

a time to be born and a time to die
a time to plant and a time to uproot

a time to kill and a time to heal
a time to tear down and a time to build

a time to weep and a time to laugh
a time to mourn and a time to dance

a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them
a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing

a time to search and a time to give up
a time to keep and a time to throw away

a time to tear and a time to mend
a time to be silent and a time to speak

a time to love and a time to hate
a time for war and a time for peace.

I have this profound sensation that my time to speak is up. My time to blog has ended for now. For now, it's time to listen. To be still. To quiet my mind. To learn. The blog will return soon. The podcast that I teased last week will be released this coming Monday, May 14. After that's released, I'll continue to listen.

During this time, I'll be reading. Here's what's on my current book list: 12 Rules for Life, Jordan Peterson; Modern Man in Search of a Soul, Carl Jung; The Myth of Mental Illness, Thomas Szasz (idk how I'll feel about this one); Lincoln in the Bardo, George Saunders.
